Journal rankings
Pointer to a journal rankings site
Journals are not equal. Some are more relevant than others, and some have better quality. Journals also have an impact factor, which tells how often studies from this journal are cited in articles, relative to other journals. Details about the impact factor calculation are available from the calculators, such as Web of Science.
A gap is closed by the Academic Journal Guide that publishes a ranking of journals and classifies them from 1 to 4+, where 4+ is the best ranking.
It’s worth checking the AJG and using the 4 and 4+ journal names as publication name parameter in the Web of Science search engine.
Happy hunting!
